Ansel Adams

Dead Trees, winter, Near Carson City (1960)

Metamorphic Rocks (1945)

Pinchot Pass, Mount Wynne, Kings River Canyon (1935)

Peak on Glacier Ridge (1925)

Mount Whitney from the West, Sierra, Nevada (1936)

Bishops Pass, Kings River Canyon (1936)

Dead Oak Tree (1938)

Tenya Lake, Mount Conness (1946)

Hopi Butte, Monument Valley (1936)

Looking at a more contemporary, yet now dead photographer of the American West. I can see Ansel Adams influences in film today and of the time of the photographs being taken. Some of these could very easily influence the final piece’s backdrops, if I decide to go for a painted background. As I am edging towards the lights idea more and more.
